El mapa
Tahuna Map Poster & Print
Tahuna is the main town of the Sangihe Islands, a chain stretching north from Sulawesi toward the Philippines. It sits on a sheltered bay on the western side of Sangihe Besar, and the map is shaped by that setting: a waterfront road following the curve of the shore, a harbour at the centre, and streets that quickly meet steep, forested ground behind the town.
The island is volcanic, and Mount Awu, one of Indonesia's active volcanoes, rises in its northern part. Around Tahuna the terrain folds into ridges and valleys, so the road network is irregular, bending along contours rather than forming a grid. Small settlements and coconut groves fill much of the land between the coast and the higher slopes.
A Tahuna map poster captures a town defined by its coastline. The bay gives the composition a strong curved edge, the harbour adds concentrated detail at its centre, and the winding roads inland provide a finer texture that contrasts with the broad, open expanse of the sea to the west. It is a map with a clear sense of arrival.

Harbour front
Boats link Tahuna with Manado and the neighbouring islands, and the port area shows up as a cluster of piers and short streets pressed against the water.
Hillside roads
Inland, roads bend with the terrain as they climb away from the coast, forming loose, curving lines that look nothing like a planned grid.

Per què Tahuna
Un mapa amb significat
Sangihe is a long way from most places, and people who leave often keep a strong attachment to it. A map of Tahuna holds the shape of the bay and the roads home in a form that sits comfortably on any wall.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name or a date, keep or edit the coordinates line, and choose among five styles. Blueprint and Noir suit the coastline particularly well. The $9 download includes six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
