Yumare sits in the low country of northern Yaracuy, in Venezuela's central-western region, where the land flattens out before rising toward the hills. From above, the town reads as a small, fairly regular cluster of blocks. Its streets cross at simple angles, and the edges loosen into lanes and scattered buildings as they meet the fields around them.
The town is the administrative seat of the Manuel Monge municipality, so civic life gathers in a modest centre. Paved roads run outward from there to the neighbouring towns and farms, linking Yumare to the wider state. On a map these few connecting lines matter as much as the town, because they show how a small place ties into its region.
