Mangrove shoreline
The coast breaks into creeks and tidal channels rather than a clean beach line, creating a detailed, irregular edge that stands out in black and white.

关于地图
Akanda Map Poster & Print
Akanda lies just north of Libreville, on the peninsula between the Gabon Estuary and the Atlantic. It has grown quickly as the capital has spread outward, and much of its street network is recent. From above, new residential quarters reach toward a coastline that breaks up into creeks, inlets and mangrove channels.
An Akanda map poster captures a place still being filled in. Main roads carry traffic between the commune and central Libreville, while side streets branch into newer neighbourhoods at varied angles. Toward the water the built area stops and the coast turns into an intricate edge of mudflats and mangrove, where the land and the sea are hard to separate.
The commune shares its name with Akanda National Park, a protected area of mangroves and tidal flats on the nearby Mondah Bay coast known for its migratory birds. That closeness gives the map an unusual shape: dense suburban streets on one side and a ragged, watery shoreline on the other. The result is a portrait of a city edge meeting a coastal wetland.

Road to Libreville
Main roads run south into the capital, the spine along which Akanda has grown as a residential extension of the Libreville area.
New neighbourhoods
Recently built quarters branch off the main roads at different angles, so the street pattern looks varied and still unfinished rather than planned in one grid.

为什么选 Akanda
一张有意义的地图
Akanda suits people who live there or have lived there, often as part of greater Libreville, and anyone who knows the estuary coast. The map shows the home streets together with the mangrove edge that defines the area.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a move-in date or a simple caption, and choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
