关于地图
Aksu Map Poster & Print
Aksu lies in Kazakhstan's Pavlodar Region, near the Irtysh River in the flat steppe of the country's north-east. Until 1993 it was called Yermak. On a map the town's layout follows Soviet planning: straight avenues, rows of apartment blocks in regular quarters and a clear line between where people live and where industry works.
The town's economy has long depended on large-scale industry. A major ferroalloy plant sits outside the residential area, and a large power station operates in the district as well. From above these industrial sites appear as big, rectangular blocks of their own, joined to the town by roads and rail spurs across open land.
An Aksu map poster turns this into a bold, ordered composition. The planned grid of the town, the channels and floodplain of the Irtysh and the geometric outlines of the industrial areas stand out against almost empty steppe. It is a strong, structured image of a place built around work.

Industrial zone
The large plant sits apart from the town as a separate rectangle of rail lines and access roads, linked back to the residential area across open ground.
Irtysh floodplain
To the side of the town the Irtysh and its side channels wind through a wide floodplain, bringing curved lines into an otherwise straight-edged map.

为什么选 Aksu
一张有意义的地图
Many families moved to Aksu to work at the plant or grew up among its apartment blocks. A map of the town is a straightforward way to keep those years close, whether you still live there or have moved on to Pavlodar, Astana or abroad.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including the old name Yermak if that is the one your family used. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px watermarked preview shows the design before you buy.
