The river winds through the town and widens behind a dam. On the poster it forms the most distinctive curved shape in the composition.

关于地图
Alapayevsk Map Poster & Print
Alapayevsk is one of the oldest industrial towns of the Middle Urals, founded around an ironworks in the early eighteenth century. From above, its structure follows a familiar Urals pattern. A river is dammed to form a pond, the works stand by the dam, and streets spread out over the gentle hills around the water. The Neyva gives the map its central curve.
The town has several notable associations. Pyotr Tchaikovsky lived here as a child, and his family's house is now a museum. In 1918, members of the Romanov family, among them Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, were killed near Alapayevsk, and the site became a place of pilgrimage. Wooden houses and older brick buildings still line many streets.
An Alapayevsk map poster shows a town shaped by water and industry, with a winding river, a wide pond, and blocks laid across the slopes. In monochrome, the Neyva becomes a flowing line and the surrounding forest a calm, empty frame. It suits people who grew up here as well as those interested in the Urals' layered past.

Works by the dam
As in many Urals towns, the old industrial site sits beside the dam. It marks the point from which the settlement historically grew.
Forest edges
Woodland surrounds the town on most sides. It leaves the streets framed by generous open space that gives the map a quiet feel.

为什么选 Alapayevsk
一张有意义的地图
Alapayevsk means different things to different people: a childhood town, a family history in the works, or an interest in Tchaikovsky or the Romanovs. A personal title and date make the map specific to your own connection.
The design comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir and Blueprint suit the Urals' industrial character. Download HD files for $9 or order a matte print, framed or unframed.
