Square-block grid
The centre is laid out in regular square blocks, producing a crisp, even pattern that reads almost like graph paper at the heart of the poster.

关于地图
Álvares Machado Map Poster & Print
Álvares Machado lies in the far west of São Paulo state, immediately next to the regional city of Presidente Prudente. The two urban areas sit very close, and on the map the smaller town appears as its own neat block of streets, joined to its larger neighbour by main roads and gradually filling in with newer housing between them.
Like many towns that grew along the westward farming and rail frontier of São Paulo, it was laid out on a regular pattern of square blocks. That order is still easy to read from above, with long straight streets, a central square and the gentler curves of newer neighbourhoods added around the edges as the population grew.
An Álvares Machado map poster shows a town of clear lines and modest scale, surrounded by the rolling farmland of the plateau. It suits someone who grew up here, who travels to Prudente every day for work or study, or who simply likes the calm clarity of a planned interior town set against open country.

Road to Prudente
Main roads link the town eastward with Presidente Prudente, drawing a clear axis between the two urban areas across the sheet.
Rolling farmland
Beyond the last streets, the plateau opens into fields and pasture crossed by rural roads, which gives the town a clean, well-defined outline.
