关于地图
Amakusa Map Poster & Print
Amakusa is a city in Kumamoto Prefecture that covers much of the Amakusa Islands, off the west coast of Kyushu. It was formed by merging a number of towns and villages, so its map is less a single city than a coastline. Steep, wooded islands hold small ports and fishing settlements tucked into bays along a deeply indented shore.
The main urban area, around Hondo, sits near the narrow strait between Kamishima and Shimoshima, the two largest islands, with streets gathered tightly along the water. Elsewhere, roads follow the coast and cross mountain ridges between isolated villages. Bridges link the islands to one another and, in turn, to mainland Kyushu.
Amakusa is known for its Christian history, from the Shimabara–Amakusa uprising of 1637 to the hidden Christian communities who kept their faith in secret for centuries. The fishing village of Sakitsu is part of a UNESCO World Heritage listing. An Amakusa map poster traces this layered landscape through its coves, harbours and ridge roads.

为什么选 Amakusa
一张有意义的地图
Amakusa draws people for its sea, its quiet villages and its history of faith kept under pressure. A poster of its islands suits those with family on the coast, travellers who explored it slowly and anyone who loves a complex shoreline.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line to name a village or a date, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, or you can order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
