The old town is a compact cluster of narrow, winding streets around the cathedral, clearly set apart from the straighter roads of the districts built around it.

关于地图
Andria Map Poster & Print
Andria lies in northern Apulia, a short distance inland from the Adriatic coast, on land that rises gradually toward the Murge plateau. On the map, its historic centre forms a dense, rounded knot of narrow streets, surrounded by wider roads and later districts laid out in more regular blocks. Beyond the city, a fine pattern of olive groves and country roads extends in every direction.
Andria is one of the three capitals of the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. Within its territory stands Castel del Monte, the octagonal castle built for Emperor Frederick II in the thirteenth century and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city is also known as the birthplace of burrata, the cream-filled cheese that has become famous far beyond Apulia.
An Andria map poster shows the classic form of a southern Italian town: a tight old core, a band of wider roads around it, and open agricultural land beyond. In black and white, the density of the centre and the even texture of the surrounding countryside make a clear, pleasing composition that holds up well at any of the six print sizes.

Encircling roads
Wider roads largely surround the historic core, marking the line where the old town ends and later expansion begins, a pattern common to many Apulian cities.
Olive countryside
Around the city, countless small plots and rural lanes cover the land, much of it olive groves, forming a delicate, even texture across the edges of the map.
