Antimilos Map Poster & Print
Antimilos lies in the Cyclades a short distance northwest of Milos, and its name simply describes that position, the island opposite Milos. It is small and uninhabited, the worn remnant of an old volcano, and on a map it appears as a compact, roughly rounded mass with a steep coast and no settlements or roads of any kind.
The island is known for its population of wild goats, found here and nowhere else in quite this form, and it is protected as a nature area. Access is limited and few people ever set foot on it; most see it only as a dark silhouette from boats sailing to or from Milos.
An Antimilos map poster is minimal in the purest sense: a single coastline set within open water, perhaps with the edge of Milos at the frame. There are no streets to fill it in, which makes the shape of the coast itself, every small cove and cape, the entire subject of the picture.
