关于地图
Aracati Map Poster & Print
Aracati lies on the lower Jaguaribe River in eastern Ceará, not far from the Atlantic. In the colonial era it was an important trading town. It was linked by river to the coast and to the cattle country of the interior, and its prosperity from that period can still be seen in its streets.
The historic centre has been nationally protected. Its buildings include tiled façades and churches from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The municipality also reaches to the coast, where the beach and red cliffs of Canoa Quebrada have made the area known to travellers from across Brazil.
An Aracati map poster places the long straight streets of the old town beside the wide, braided course of the Jaguaribe. The river's bends and sandbanks contrast with the orderly colonial layout. Drawn in monochrome, the town looks like what it was: a settlement built to serve the river.

Colonial street plan
The historic core follows long, straight parallel streets typical of Portuguese colonial towns in the northeast. It gives the poster a clear, ordered centre.
Road to the coast
Roads lead out of town toward the shore and Canoa Quebrada. They connect the river town to the dunes and beaches of the Ceará coast.

为什么选 Aracati
一张有意义的地图
Aracati means something to people from Ceará and to travellers who passed through on the way to Canoa Quebrada. The map shows the town behind the beaches, drawn through the streets that made it important.
