The harbour basins
Arbroath's harbour is a compact group of basins and quays on the seafront. Its angular outline is one of the strongest features on the map.

关于地图
Arbroath Map Poster & Print
Arbroath is on the North Sea coast of Angus, northeast of Dundee. Its most famous building is the ruined abbey at the top of the old town. The Declaration of Arbroath, the 1320 letter asserting Scottish independence, is associated with it. From the abbey, streets run downhill to the harbour and the seafront.
On a map the harbour is the clearest shape: its basins and piers stand out against the straight line of the coast. The old town fills the ground between the abbey and the water with a close pattern of streets. Newer housing spreads north and west. To the northeast, the coast rises into red sandstone cliffs cut by coves and arches.
An Arbroath map poster brings together the town's two anchors, the abbey and the harbour, and the short streets that link them. The town is also known for the Arbroath smokie, a haddock smoked over wood. The signal tower that once served the Bell Rock Lighthouse, far out at sea, still stands near the harbour.

Abbey and old town
The abbey ruins sit at the top of the historic centre. From there the streets fall toward the sea in a dense, irregular pattern.
Cliffs to the northeast
Beyond the town the coast turns to sandstone cliffs, coves and natural arches. On the poster the shoreline becomes a finely broken edge.

为什么选 Arbroath
一张有意义的地图
Arbroath means something specific to many Scots: the Declaration, the abbey, the smokies and the harbour. People from Angus, and those who have family roots here, often want the town's shape on the wall.
Personalise the title and subtitle. You might add 1320, a family name or the year you left. Adjust the coordinates too. Noir and Blueprint bring out the coastline, while Classic black and white suits the stone-built town.
