关于地图
Arendal Map Poster & Print
Arendal is a coastal town in Agder, on Norway's southern shore. Its map is a composition of water and rock: the harbour at Pollen, the steep old town on the Tyholmen peninsula, and the larger islands of Tromøy and Hisøy sheltering the approach from the Skagerrak. Streets wind up and around the granite hills and rarely run straight for long.
Tyholmen is known for its well-preserved wooden buildings from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, when Arendal was an important shipping town with one of Norway's largest merchant fleets. Every summer the town hosts Arendalsuka, a week of political debate that brings politicians and organisations from across the country to the harbour.
An Arendal map poster suits anyone drawn to the Norwegian coast. The outline is complex and beautiful, with sounds, bays and islands all around the town and the Nidelva reaching the coast nearby. In black and white, the fragmented shoreline becomes the main subject, delicate and finely detailed from edge to edge.

Pollen harbour
The inner harbour sits at the heart of the town, a sheltered basin that survived when most of Arendal's old canals were filled in.
Islands and sounds
Tromøy and Hisøy lie close offshore. Narrow sounds separate them from the mainland and give the map an intricate, many-layered coastline.

为什么选 Arendal
一张有意义的地图
Arendal is close to the hearts of sailors, summer visitors and families with roots on the Agder coast. A map of its harbour, islands and wooden old town is an elegant choice for a cabin, a flat in Oslo or a home abroad.
Add a title and subtitle, perhaps the name of a boat or a summer year, and personalise the coordinates line. Blueprint and Noir suit the maritime shapes especially well, while Classic black & white, Paper and Sand offer softer alternatives.
