Railroad diagonal
The Metra line cuts across the grid at an angle, with the downtown gathered around the station, a pattern that shaped the village from its early days.

关于地图
Arlington Heights Map Poster & Print
Arlington Heights is a village in Cook County, about 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Like many suburbs in the region it grew along a railroad line, and its compact downtown still sits beside the tracks of the Metra Union Pacific Northwest line, which crosses the map on a long diagonal.
Around that centre, the village spreads out in a regular grid of residential streets, broken by parks, schools and a few curving later subdivisions. Major roads such as Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway divide the grid into neighbourhoods, and the result is a calm, orderly map that feels characteristic of the Midwest.
For decades the village was known for Arlington Park, a thoroughbred racetrack that closed in 2021 and whose site was later purchased by the Chicago Bears. An Arlington Heights map poster shows the long line of the railroad, the busy downtown and the patient grid around them, a portrait of a well-planned place.

Residential grid
Straight, evenly spaced streets fill most of the village, giving the poster a steady rhythm interrupted only by parks and school grounds.
Arlington Park site
The former racetrack grounds form a large open shape on the south side of the village, a notable blank space in an otherwise dense map.

为什么选 Arlington Heights
一张有意义的地图
Arlington Heights is a place where people put down roots: a first house, a school district, a daily commute on the train. A map of the village is a fitting way to mark those years, and its clean grid looks especially sharp in black and white.
Personalise the title and subtitle with your family name, street or move-in date, and set the coordinates line to your home. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a $9 HD download or a framed print.
