The Blue Nile
The river curves past the town as a wide, continuous shape, the strongest and most recognisable feature on the entire sheet.

关于地图
As Sūkī Map Poster & Print
As Sūkī lies in Sennar State in central Sudan, on the Blue Nile upstream of the town of Sennar. The river is the defining element of its map, a broad, curving band that separates the town from the land on the other bank and determines the direction in which its streets extend.
The settlement is laid out in a fairly regular pattern of blocks close to the river, with main roads linking it to neighbouring towns. The surrounding area is known for irrigated agriculture drawing on the Blue Nile, and on a map the town is framed by the large, geometric parcels of cultivated land.
An As Sūkī map poster shows a clear and honest composition: the river, the modest grid of houses and markets, and the fields beyond. It is a place many people are connected to through family, and the map records the relationship between town and river that shapes daily life along this stretch of the Blue Nile.

Riverside street grid
Close to the bank, residential blocks follow a mostly regular pattern, giving the centre a neat, orderly texture.
Irrigated fields
Beyond the built-up area, large rectangular plots of farmland spread out, their straight edges contrasting with the soft line of the river.
