Planned street layout
As Sulayyil's streets form a largely regular pattern of blocks and wide roads. The layout reads clearly against the empty desert beyond.

关于地图
As Sulayyil Map Poster & Print
As Sulayyil lies in the far south of the Riyadh Region of Saudi Arabia, near the northern edge of the Rub al Khali, the Empty Quarter. On the map, the town is a planned arrangement of streets and blocks surrounded by open desert. Palm groves and farms form green patches on its edges, where water has long made settlement possible.
The town sits where major roads meet. Long, straight highways run north toward Riyadh, south toward Wadi ad-Dawasir and Najran and west across the desert. These routes give the town its role as a stopping point in a sparsely populated region.
An As Sulayyil map poster frames the contrast between the ordered street pattern, the irregular shapes of farms and palm groves and the vast, empty land around them. In black and white, the desert becomes a calm field of space.

Palm groves and farms
Around the edges of town, cultivated plots and palm groves form irregular shapes. They mark the oasis that made settlement here possible.
Desert highways
Long, straight roads leave the town in several directions across open land. They cross the poster as bold lines and show the town's role as a junction.
