Lake Victoria shore
The lake's edge forms an irregular line of bays and headlands. It gives the map a strong natural boundary and a large area of calm, open space.

关于地图
Awendo Map Poster & Print
This map is centred on a point in Homa Bay County, in western Kenya, on the southern side of the Winam Gulf of Lake Victoria. It carries the name Awendo but covers a different area from the sugar town in Migori County. The shoreline and inland hills of this part of South Nyanza shape the view.
Lake Victoria is Africa's largest lake. Where it appears in the frame, it becomes a broad, still surface with an irregular shoreline of bays and points. Inland, the land rises gently into farmland and scattered homesteads. Rural roads run between small settlements instead of radiating from one dense centre, and footpaths add a fine pattern to the fields.
An Awendo map poster for this location focuses on countryside rather than a street grid. Lake, shoreline and rural roads carry the design. In monochrome, the water reads as calm open space and the land as lightly marked ground. It suits anyone with ties to Homa Bay County.

Rural road web
Roads link scattered settlements instead of converging on a single centre. On the map they form a loose, open network across the countryside.
Homestead pattern
Farms and homesteads are spread across the rising ground. Their paths and plot edges give the land a fine, even texture that fades toward the frame.

为什么选 Awendo
一张有意义的地图
Many families from Homa Bay County now live in Nairobi, Kisumu or abroad. A map of the lakeshore country keeps that landscape close. The lake gives the print a strong composition, whether it hangs in a living room or an office.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with the name of your home village. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir makes the lake especially striking.
