Airport runway
The runway is the most recognisable shape on the map: a single long straight bar that dominates the composition and anchors the town beside it.

关于地图
Bagdogra Map Poster & Print
Bagdogra lies at the northern edge of the plains in West Bengal, a short distance west of Siliguri. The feature that defines it most clearly on a map is its airport. The long, straight runway is shared with an Indian Air Force station and is the main air gateway for Darjeeling, Sikkim and the surrounding hill country.
Around the town, the map fills with large regular parcels of tea estates and military land. The residential streets are grouped along the main road. The land rises gently towards the foothills to the north, and rivers coming down from the hills cross the plain in wide, braided channels.
A Bagdogra map poster works because its elements are so distinct: one sharp runway line, blocks of estates, and a compact town along its road. For travellers it marks the start of many journeys into the Himalaya. For residents and service families it shows a place that is organised around movement in and out.
