Bhairab River
The river bends past the town in a wide curve, the largest water shape on the poster. Smaller channels and canals branch away from it through the surrounding fields.

关于地图
Bagerhat Map Poster & Print
Bagerhat lies in the low delta country of Khulna Division, on the Bhairab River, not far north of the Sundarbans. From above it is a landscape of water: winding rivers, narrow canals and countless ponds, many of them rectangular and dug over the centuries. The roads follow the higher ground between them, so the plan is loose and organic rather than gridded.
The area is best known for the Historic Mosque City of Bagerhat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site founded in the fifteenth century by the general Khan Jahan Ali. Its most famous building is the Shait Gumbad Mosque, whose prayer hall is covered by rows of small domes. Mosques, tombs and old roads are scattered across the countryside west of the modern town.
Near the monuments lies the Ghora Dighi, a large rectangular tank linked to Khan Jahan's time. It is one of several ponds that stand out on the map for their clean edges. A Bagerhat map poster brings the river, the ponds and the roads together, showing how closely people have lived with water here.

Historic tanks
Large rectangular ponds such as the Ghora Dighi show up as crisp geometric shapes among the irregular roads. They date back to the settlement Khan Jahan Ali founded in the fifteenth century.
Mosque City roads
West of the modern town, lanes link the scattered mosques and tombs of the World Heritage site, including the many-domed Shait Gumbad, across low green country.

为什么选 Bagerhat
一张有意义的地图
Bagerhat means a great deal to families from the district and to anyone who has visited its mosques and tanks. A map of the town and its waterways keeps that landscape on the wall in a calm, graphic way, far from the delta.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to suit a name, a date or a dedication. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Start with the free watermarked preview, then download the HD files or order a print.
