关于地图
Baljurashi Map Poster & Print
Baljurashi lies in the Al Bahah region of southwest Saudi Arabia, high in the Sarawat mountains, at around 2,400 metres above sea level. At this altitude summers are milder than on the coast or in the desert interior, and the town has become a seasonal retreat for visitors from hotter parts of the country.
On a map the terrain is always present. Streets follow ridges and valleys rather than a grid, curving and branching in response to steep ground. The densest part of the town sits on the more level areas, and roads climb out of it along winding routes toward villages scattered through the mountains.
Around the town, old agricultural terraces and patches of juniper woodland mark the slopes, remnants of a farming landscape shaped over many generations. A Baljurashi map poster reduces that mountain setting into clean lines, showing how the town fits into a landscape of steep, folded ground.

Terraced slopes
Around the town, terraced fields step down the hillsides, visible on the map as fine patterns of short parallel lines and small plots.
Mountain roads
Roads leaving Baljurashi wind through valleys and over ridges to neighbouring villages, their long curves giving the edges of the poster a strong sense of movement.
