关于地图
Bhit Shah Map Poster & Print
Bhit Shah is in Matiari district, Sindh, in the flat, irrigated country east of the Indus. The town is named after its most important figure. Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, the eighteenth-century Sufi poet whose collected verse, the Shah Jo Risalo, is at the heart of Sindhi culture, lived here, and his shrine is the centre of the town.
On a map, the shrine complex is the main open space, and the town's lanes gather tightly around it. The streets are dense and irregular, as in many old South Asian market towns, and loosen into scattered houses, fields and irrigation canals toward the edges. Each year the anniversary of the poet's death, the urs, draws very large numbers of pilgrims.
A Bhit Shah map poster captures a town whose centre is a place of poetry and devotion. The drawing is simple: the shrine grounds, the close lanes and the canals and fields beyond. It suits readers of Latif's verse, Sindhi families at home and abroad, and anyone who has made the journey for the urs.

Close lanes
Narrow, irregular lanes surround the shrine and markets. They form a dense, fine-grained core that contrasts with the open land nearby.
Irrigated plain
Canals and fields surround the town. On paper they show as long straight lines and wide empty space across the flat Indus plain.

为什么选 Bhit Shah
一张有意义的地图
For Sindhi families, Bhit Shah is a cultural home even if they have never lived there. A map of it is a quiet tribute to the poet and to the place his words come from.
You can put a line of verse or a family name in the title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates, and choose one of five styles. The free 900 px preview lets you check your wording before you buy the $9 HD files.
