关于地图
Bhuj Map Poster & Print
Bhuj is the principal city of Kutch, the vast district of western Gujarat bordered by salt flats and the Arabian Sea. From above, the old city is a tight maze of narrow lanes, the line of its former walls still traceable, with the palace complex near its heart. Newer districts extend outward along straighter roads, and the dry, open landscape of Kutch surrounds everything.
Hamirsar Lake, a large man-made reservoir, lies beside the old city and forms the clearest shape on the map. To the east rises Bhujia Hill, crowned by an old fort. The Aina Mahal and Prag Mahal palaces recall the rulers of the former princely state. The earthquake of 2001 caused severe damage here, and much of the city was rebuilt in the years that followed.
A Bhuj map poster shows the contrast between the dense, irregular old quarter and the calmer, more open grids of the modern city, anchored by the lake and the hill. It is a fitting keepsake for anyone who has travelled through Kutch toward the white salt desert of the Great Rann, or who calls this corner of Gujarat home.

The walled city
Inside the line of the old walls, lanes twist and branch around the palace complex, a dense web of streets that looks entirely different from the planned blocks outside.
Bhujia Hill
East of the centre, Bhujia Hill rises from the flat landscape, topped by the fort that once guarded the city, with roads curving around its lower slopes.

为什么选 Bhuj
一张有意义的地图
Bhuj holds strong memories for families from Kutch, many of whom now live elsewhere in India and abroad, and for visitors who passed through on the way to the Rann. Its map gathers the lake, the palaces and the old lanes into one frame.
Add a title, a subtitle in your own words and a meaningful date, and choose one of five styles; Sand and Paper suit its desert setting especially well. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
