关于地图
Bihtā Map Poster & Print
Bihtā lies west of Patna in Bihar, on the flat plain near the Son river, not far from where it joins the Ganges. On a map, the older town is a dense cluster of lanes around the railway and main road. Around it, new development has spread in more regular patterns, and fields still fill much of the land between the built-up areas.
In recent years the town has become known as the home of the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, whose campus was built here. The campus appears on the map as a distinct planned area with its own internal roads, very different from the older town's lanes. Bihtā also has a railway station on the main line west of Patna, which has helped its growth.
A Bihtā map poster puts two kinds of place side by side: an organic older town and a newly laid-out institutional campus, with the railway and highway running between them. That contrast gives the composition a lot to look at. For anyone who studied or worked here, it maps a very particular chapter of life.

Railway line
The main line west of Patna runs through the town, cutting a straight line across the map and marking the older commercial centre.
Near the Son
The Son river flows nearby on its way to the Ganges, and wider framings show the town set on low river plain land.
