Compact core
The oldest part of town forms a tight knot of narrow lanes near the centre. It is the densest and most detailed area of the map.

关于地图
Bilgi Map Poster & Print
Bilgi is a town in Bagalkot district in northern Karnataka and the headquarters of the taluk of the same name. It sits on the open Deccan plateau, where the land is flat or gently rolling and farmland reaches right up to the edge of town. From above, the town appears as a compact core of streets with roads radiating out to the surrounding villages.
Within the town, the street pattern near the centre is dense and informal, with narrow lanes and irregular blocks. Newer extensions along the main roads are more loosely arranged. In the countryside, field boundaries, tracks and occasional water bodies add shape to an otherwise open landscape when printed in black and white.
The wider region lies in the Krishna river basin, and irrigation from the river system has changed farming across the district. A Bilgi map poster keeps its focus on the town itself: a clear cluster of lanes and roads set in wide country, with the clarity small places often have on paper.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave town in several directions toward nearby villages and towns. They draw clean lines that give the poster a clear, star-like structure.
Plateau farmland
Open fields surround Bilgi on every side. They leave wide areas of calm space that frame the town and emphasise its compact shape.
