Boca Chica Map Poster & Print
Boca Chica lies on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic, a short distance east of Santo Domingo and close to Las Américas International Airport. Its defining shape is the bay: a shallow, calm stretch of water held back from the open Caribbean by a coral reef, which is why the beach here is known for water that stays still and warm.
From above, the town is a strip of streets pressed against the shoreline, with a small grid running inland from the beach road. Small islets sit offshore inside the reef line, and the coast curves gently along the length of town. Behind it, the built-up area gives way to highways heading west to the capital and east along the coast.
A Boca Chica map poster makes the bay the main subject. The pale water and the thin edge of the shore take up much of the frame, while the streets gather tightly along the sand.
