关于地图
Borovichi Map Poster & Print
Borovichi lies on the Msta River in the east of Novgorod Oblast. On the map the river is the main feature, a broad curving band running through the town, with streets spreading over both banks and bridges joining them. The older centre sits near the river, and later districts extend onto the higher ground around it.
In the past the Msta rapids near Borovichi were a notorious obstacle on the waterway that linked the upper Volga with Lake Ilmen and St Petersburg. Pilots guided barges through them. Later the town became known for its refractory clay and firebrick industry, which grew on local deposits.
A Borovichi map poster sets the curving Msta against the town's mix of old streets, industrial areas and Soviet-era housing. Forests surround it all. In black and white the river gives the print a strong central movement, and the pattern of streets on its banks tells the story of a working town in the north-west of Russia.

River crossings
Bridges connect the two sides of the town, short straight lines that link the street networks across the water.
Industrial districts
Areas linked to the town's firebrick and ceramics industry appear as larger blocks and rail lines at the edges of the residential streets.

为什么选 Borovichi
一张有意义的地图
For those who grew up by the Msta, or whose families worked in its factories, Borovichi is a very personal place. A map poster is a quiet way to keep it close, whether in Novgorod, St Petersburg or much further away.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9 in six sizes, and printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
