关于地图
Boufarik Map Poster & Print
Boufarik lies in the heart of the Mitidja, the fertile plain that stretches between the hills around Algiers and the Blida Atlas. The town's layout is strikingly regular: a grid of straight streets and rectangular blocks around a central square, laid out in the nineteenth century on what was then marshy ground. Around it the map fills with the long, orderly parcels of orchards and fields.
The Mitidja has long been known for its citrus, and Boufarik in particular for its oranges. The town has a well-known link to the soft drink Orangina, which was first produced here in the 1930s. Today it is an agricultural and market centre in Blida Province, with an air base nearby and road and rail links to Algiers.
A Boufarik map poster is a study in geometry. The central grid, the straight roads leaving it in each direction and the rectangular patterns of the surrounding farmland create a composition of clean, repeating lines. In black and white the effect is almost architectural, and it reads as clearly from across a room as it does up close.

Orchard parcels
Citrus orchards and fields surround the town in long rectangular plots, giving the outskirts a fine, striped texture on the printed map.
Roads across the plain
Main roads and the railway run across the Mitidja toward Algiers and Blida, straight lines that frame the town and connect it to the region.

为什么选 Boufarik
一张有意义的地图
Boufarik holds deep meaning for Algerian families across generations, and for many people abroad with roots in the Mitidja. A map of the town is a restrained, personal way to keep that connection present at home.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, writing the name in whatever form you prefer, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD files include six print sizes with no watermark.
