关于地图
Buritirama Map Poster & Print
Buritirama is a municipality in the interior of Bahia, west of the São Francisco River, in the semi-arid country known as the sertão. From above, the town is a small, orderly grid of streets set against a very large and mostly empty landscape. Rural roads and tracks run far out from it towards farms and smaller communities.
The contrast is the point of the map. The urban area is compact, with straight streets and regular blocks around a central square, while the land beyond is crossed only by thin lines of dirt roads and seasonal watercourses. A Buritirama map poster turns this into a clear composition: a small cluster of streets in a lot of open space.
Towns like this rarely appear on travel lists, but they matter to the people from them. Many families from the Bahian interior have moved to larger cities in Brazil, and a map of the home town keeps the streets of childhood visible, even at a great distance.

Open sertão
Around the town, the semi-arid landscape appears mostly as empty space, with only a few roads and tracks, which gives the design a spare, calm feel.
Rural roads
Long, thin roads leave the town and cross the surrounding country, linking it to farms and neighbouring communities and giving the composition its direction.
