Carrizal River
The river runs past the town and sets its orientation. Its curving line cuts across the otherwise regular block pattern and anchors the composition.

关于地图
Calceta Map Poster & Print
Calceta is the main town of Bolívar canton, in the Ecuadorian province of Manabí. It sits inland from the Pacific coast, on the Carrizal River. The valley floor is flat, and the town's streets fill it. Low hills covered in pasture and farmland rise on either side. On a map the river is the first thing you notice, and the town is built along its course.
The centre follows a regular block grid, like many Ecuadorian towns laid out around a main plaza. Toward the edges that order gives way. Streets bend to follow the riverbank and the foot of the hills, and roads leave the valley toward Chone, Portoviejo and the coast. On paper, the neat rectangles set against the curving water make a clear, balanced composition.
A Calceta map poster suits anyone with roots in Manabí's farming interior. The region is known for cacao, livestock and river-valley agriculture. Drawn in black and white, the town is a small grid tied to a river, with the countryside close at hand. It is a modest subject, and a very legible one.

Plaza-centred grid
The historic core follows the familiar Spanish-American plan of square blocks around a central plaza, which stays clearly readable at any print size.
Valley roads
Roads leave the town along the valley and over the low hills, connecting it to the rest of Manabí and giving the edges of the map direction.

为什么选 Calceta
一张有意义的地图
A map of Calceta is a way to keep a family town or a childhood river on the wall, far from Manabí. The combination of grid and water makes it more graphic than many towns of its size.
Personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line. Then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame. HD digital files are available for $9.
