关于地图
Centenario Map Poster & Print
Centenario lies in the Huaraz area of Ancash, in the Callejón de Huaylas, the long valley of the Río Santa in the Peruvian Andes. On a map the streets form a mix of small blocks and irregular lanes on sloping ground. Main roads connect the area to central Huaraz, and at the edges the built-up zone gives way to fields and hillside.
The valley is framed by two mountain ranges, with the glaciated Cordillera Blanca to the east. Huascarán, Peru's highest mountain, stands in that range. Huaraz is the main base for trekking and climbing in the area, and the whole region sits at high altitude, well above two thousand metres, so it is at once a working Andean town and a mountain gateway.
A Centenario map poster shows a place shaped by its valley. The streets run at slight angles to fit the terrain, the roads follow the lie of the land, and the city gets less dense toward the slopes. It makes a quiet, detailed portrait of an Andean urban district set in a dramatic landscape.

Toward the slopes
At the outer edges, blocks give way to fields and hillside paths. The poster captures this gradual thinning as the ground rises.
Links to Huaraz
Main roads tie the district to the wider Huaraz area, drawing longer lines through the composition that connect it to the rest of the valley.
