Cerritos Map Poster & Print
Cerritos is a city in southeastern Los Angeles County, and its map is a textbook example of postwar suburban planning. Freeways, including the 605 and the 91, form strong edges, while inside them curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs fill neat neighbourhoods divided by wide arterial roads.
The city was incorporated in 1956 as Dairy Valley, when the area was mostly dairy farms, and renamed Cerritos in 1967 as housing replaced the pastures. Its civic centre includes the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts and a well-known public library, and the Cerritos Auto Square forms a distinctive commercial block on the map.
