关于地图
Chernogolovka Map Poster & Print
Chernogolovka lies in the forests northeast of Moscow, and the map shows a town carved out of woodland. Residential blocks and research campuses sit in clearings connected by curving roads, with dense forest pressing in on every side. A reservoir on the edge of town adds a large open shape of water.
The town was established in the 1950s as a centre for scientific research, originally around a chemical physics institute associated with Nobel laureate Nikolai Semyonov. It later grew into a cluster of Academy of Sciences institutes and received the official status of a science town, or naukograd.
A Chernogolovka map poster emphasises the balance between institutes, housing and forest. The campuses appear as large blocks with internal paths, residential districts form compact clusters, and the woodland provides a quiet background. It is an unusual and very calm urban composition.

Forest setting
Woodland surrounds the town on all sides and fills the gaps between districts, giving the map broad open areas around the compact built-up zones.
Reservoir
A body of water near the town forms a smooth, open shape on the print, a quiet counterpoint to the blocks of the residential areas.

为什么选 Chernogolovka
一张有意义的地图
Chernogolovka is often a place of study, research careers and childhoods spent between institutes and forest walks. A map of the town holds that particular world together and suits a study or an office wall.
Add a name, an institute or a date in the title and subtitle, and keep the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; Blueprint seems especially fitting for a science town.
