Prince Pückler's landscape park forms a large green area of curving paths and ponds, including the pyramid that stands in its own lake, all clearly visible as open shapes on the map.

关于地图
Cottbus Map Poster & Print
Cottbus is the second-largest city in Brandenburg and the main centre of Lower Lusatia, the region of eastern Germany where the Sorbian minority has its cultural home. Street signs are bilingual, and the city also has a Lower Sorbian name, Chóśebuz. On a map, the Spree runs north through the eastern side of town, its banks lined with green space.
The old town is a small, dense core around the Altmarkt, with streets that still follow their medieval lines. Around it lie wider nineteenth-century and post-war districts, ring roads and railway lines. South-east of the centre is Branitz Park, created by Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau. Its lake and landscaped grounds hold two earth pyramids, one of them rising out of the water.
A Cottbus map poster brings medieval streets, the river and a carefully designed landscape into one frame. The parks give the composition room to breathe, and the curve of the Spree adds a natural line to the urban grid. It fits well for students of the university, people with Sorbian roots and anyone who knows this corner of Germany.

The Spree corridor
The river runs through the eastern part of the city, framed by parkland and paths that form a continuous green band between districts.
Compact old town
Around the Altmarkt, a small cluster of irregular medieval streets contrasts with the more open, planned districts built in later centuries.
