Sierra backdrop
The Sierra de Crevillente rises directly to the north. The town's upper streets press against its slopes, giving the plan a firm upper edge.

关于地图
Crevillente Map Poster & Print
Crevillente lies in the south of the province of Alicante, between Elche and Orihuela. It sits where the Sierra de Crevillente drops to the plain of the Vega Baja. From above, the town hugs the lower slopes. Streets climb toward the hills on the north side and flatten out to the south, then give way to irrigated fields, roads and eventually the lagoons of El Hondo.
The town is known for making rugs and carpets, an industry that grew into one of its defining activities. Its Semana Santa processions have been recognised for their significance to tourism. The municipality also includes part of El Hondo natural park, a wetland of reservoirs and marsh important for birdlife. From above it appears as a pattern of water basins.
A Crevillente map poster covers a wide range in one frame: mountain edge, compact town, agricultural plain and wetland. In monochrome, the slope-bound streets contrast with the geometric fields and ponds below. The layout leads from dense to open and from rock to water, which makes for an unusually varied poster from a medium-sized town.

El Hondo wetlands
To the south lie the reservoirs and marshes of El Hondo natural park. Their angular basins read as crisp geometric shapes on the map.
Vega Baja plain
Between town and wetlands, flat irrigated farmland is laid out in a patchwork. Long straight roads run across it.
