Wadi channel
A broad seasonal riverbed crosses the area, drawn as a wide, loose band that contrasts with the straight roads. It explains much about where farming and settlement take hold.

关于地图
Ḑamad Map Poster & Print
Ḑamad is in the Jazan Region of south-western Saudi Arabia, on the flat Tihamah plain between the Red Sea and the mountains to the east. From above, the town is a spread of low blocks and straight roads on open ground. Cultivated plots and scattered settlements extend across the plain around it.
The town shares its name with Wadi Ḑamad, one of the seasonal watercourses that run down from the highlands toward the coast. On a map these wadis appear as wide, braided channels that are dry for much of the year, and they decide where fields and roads can run. The mountains of the Jazan hinterland stand to the east, while the city of Jazan and the sea lie to the south-west.
A Ḑamad map poster is a portrait of a plain rather than a skyline. Its interest lies in the balance between the regular streets of the town and the looser marks of farming and water around it. In fine black lines, that contrast becomes a restrained, graphic composition for anyone with ties to the Jazan region.

Tihamah plain
The land around the town is almost level, so the road network spreads out with few interruptions. That gives the map an open, even texture from edge to edge.
Farmland edges
Cultivated plots border the built-up area. Their rectangular outlines form a quiet grid that softens into open ground further from the centre.

为什么选 Ḑamad
一张有意义的地图
This map suits people who grew up in Ḑamad, worked in the Jazan region or simply want a record of a place rarely seen in print. Its appeal is its quietness: a plain, a wadi and a town, reduced to line and space.
Personalise the title in the spelling you prefer, add a subtitle, and keep or change the coordinates line. Pick one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, which suits the colours of the plain. HD files cost $9 and include six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.
