Wartime airstrips
The long, straight runways built on the southern plain during the Second World War remain some of the most striking shapes on the map of this part of Morotai.

关于地图
Daruba Map Poster & Print
Daruba is the main town of Morotai, an island at the northern edge of the Maluku group, facing the Pacific on one side and the Halmahera Sea on the other. The town occupies a stretch of the island's southwestern coast, with a modest street network following the shoreline and roads leading inland toward forested hills.
Morotai is best known for its role in the Second World War, when Allied forces landed in 1944 and built airfields on the flat southern plain near Daruba. The long straight runways from that period still stand out clearly on a map, running parallel through the landscape just outside town.
A Daruba map poster captures a place defined by water: the bay in front of the harbour, the small islands just offshore and the ragged coral edges of the coastline. Rendered in simple lines, the contrast between the tight town centre and the wide, open sea gives the poster a spacious, maritime feel.

Offshore islets
Small islands and reef patches lie in the waters off Daruba, adding scattered outlines to the sea and breaking the open blue into a pattern of coves and channels.
Coastal street grid
The town itself is compact, with streets running parallel to the shore and short cross-streets reaching the water, a simple layout that reads clearly at poster scale.

为什么选 Daruba
一张有意义的地图
For those with family ties to Morotai, or travellers who reached it by boat, Daruba is a place remembered through its shoreline and sea. A map poster turns that memory into something that can hang quietly on a wall at home.
You can replace the title with a name or phrase of your own, add a date or subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line. The design comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
