Regular block grid
Square blocks repeat with few breaks in a classic Spanish-American plan centred on a main plaza. On paper the grid gives the poster an even texture that stays clear even at small sizes.

关于地图
Deán Funes Map Poster & Print
Deán Funes sits in the north of Córdoba province, where the last folds of the Sierras give way to flatter, drier country. From above, the town is a compact rectangle of blocks in a regular grid. A central plaza anchors the pattern, and the streets thin into rural tracks at every edge. Around the town, the land shows as fields, scrub and scattered farm roads that run on toward the horizon.
The town takes its name from Gregorio Funes, dean of Córdoba's cathedral and a figure of Argentina's independence period. It grew as a railway settlement, and the line that shaped its early life still cuts a firm stroke across the map. It divides the grid and sets the direction of the streets around the old station grounds. Today the town is the head town of the Ischilín department.
In black and white, a Deán Funes map poster keeps the calm geometry of a small Argentine interior town. It shows the even squares, the single stroke of the railway and the way the pattern loosens toward the countryside. With few lines, wide margins and a clear centre, it is a quiet composition that works as well in a hallway as above a desk.

The railway line
The railway that brought the town into being crosses the grid as one confident line. The wider station grounds leave a visible gap in the pattern of blocks.
Edge of the sierras
To the west and south the land rises toward the northern Sierras de Córdoba. Here the street pattern gives way to rural roads that wander off across open country.

为什么选 Deán Funes
一张有意义的地图
For anyone who grew up in northern Córdoba, travelled the old rail routes or has family roots in the Ischilín area, this map keeps the town's plan in view. It is modest, clear and personal rather than decorative for its own sake.
You can set your own title, add a subtitle such as a family name or a date, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then download the $9 HD files or order a matte print, framed if you like.
