Planned core
The central streets follow a fairly regular layout, giving the middle of the map a neat, blocky structure that contrasts with the scattered edges.

关于地图
Dibate Map Poster & Print
Dibate is the centre of a woreda of the same name in the Metekel zone of Benishangul-Gumuz, in western Ethiopia. The region lies below the central highlands, and the land here is lower, warmer and more wooded. From above, the town is a small grid-like core with straight roads on the edges and a lot of open land around it.
The map is spare. A main road passes through and the town grew along it, with side streets laid out more regularly than in older highland towns. Paths lead out to farms and villages, and seasonal streams leave faint marks across the landscape.
A Dibate map poster is a quiet, minimal print. With few lines to draw, each one carries more weight, and the space between them becomes part of the design. For people from the area it records a place that rarely appears on printed maps of any kind.

Through road
A single main road carries the town's traffic and forms the longest line on the poster, running across the frame and tying the settlement together.
Wide surroundings
Farmland and woodland surround the town, leaving large open areas that let the fine street pattern stand out clearly in black and white.
