Kremlin ramparts
The earthen walls of the old fortress show as a closed oval in the centre, a medieval outline that still controls how the surrounding streets are laid out.

关于地图
Dmitrov Map Poster & Print
Dmitrov is one of the oldest towns in the Moscow region. The chronicles date its founding to 1154 and credit Yuri Dolgoruky, the prince also linked to the founding of Moscow. On the map the old core is easy to find: an oval of earthen ramparts that once enclosed the kremlin, with the white Assumption Cathedral inside it. The town's main streets start from that oval.
To the east the ground falls to the Yakhroma valley, and the Moscow Canal runs through it in a long, deliberate line. Built in the 1930s to link the capital with the Volga, the canal gives the map a hard engineered edge. The river curves beside it, the rail line runs parallel, and the town sits on the higher bank above all three.
A Dmitrov map poster shows the ramparts as a small closed shape, with the old radial streets leading away from it towards the Dmitrov and Yakhroma roads. Further out, blocks of Soviet-era flats and newer districts fill the space between. Printed in black and white, the medieval oval and the twentieth-century canal sit on the same sheet.

Moscow Canal
A straight waterway along the eastern side of town, cut in the 1930s to connect Moscow to the Volga. Its locks and embankments give the map a clear engineered edge.
Yakhroma valley
The low floodplain between the town and the canal, where the small river winds beside the rail line and the land opens out to the east.

为什么选 Dmitrov
一张有意义的地图
People who grew up in Dmitrov, or who spent summers and weekends there, usually recognise the rampart oval straight away. As a poster the town is quiet and easy to read, and it works just as well in a hallway as above a desk.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, for example with a family name or the year you moved. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The canal looks especially crisp in Blueprint, while Paper gives the old centre a softer finish.
