关于地图
Dobrich Map Poster & Print
Dobrich is the main city of Bulgaria's north-eastern Dobruja region. This wide, mostly flat grain-growing plateau stretches toward the Black Sea coast and the Romanian border. From above, the city looks almost like a diagram of a regional hub. It has a compact centre, rings of housing blocks and industrial estates, and roads leading out in several directions to smaller towns.
For part of the twentieth century the city was called Tolbukhin, before it took back its historic name. One well-known feature of its centre is the Old Dobrich ethnographic complex, a reconstructed quarter of craft workshops. Around the core, large residential estates and green strips form clear shapes on the map.
A Dobrich map poster benefits from its setting. There are no coastlines or mountains to compete with the streets, so the city's structure carries the whole image. The dense centre, the planned districts and the long straight roads over the plain make it a quiet but very legible map.

Planned housing estates
Large residential districts from the late twentieth century show up as blocks of regular buildings, broken by courtyards and open green space.
Dobruja plateau
Around the city, the land is broad and cultivated, with few features. The long, straight field lines make a strong background for the built-up area.
