关于地图
Donskoy Map Poster & Print
Donskoy is in the Tula Oblast, in the gently rolling country south of Moscow near the upper reaches of the Don. From above, it is not one compact centre. It is a group of settlements joined by roads, with clusters of streets separated by fields, woodland and small valleys. That pattern reflects how the town came together from separate workers' settlements.
The town grew with coal mining in the Moscow coal basin, which shaped much of this part of the oblast in the twentieth century. Blocks of Soviet-era housing sit beside older lanes of single-storey houses. Former industrial sites and railway lines run between the districts.
A Donskoy map poster shows that scattered layout clearly. Several distinct nuclei, each with its own street pattern, are connected by longer roads across open ground. In black and white it becomes a composition of islands and links. That makes it a more unusual map than a single tight grid.

Linking roads
Longer roads cross fields and woodland to join the districts. On paper they draw connecting lines between the separate parts of the town.
Mining landscape
Railway lines and former industrial ground from the coal-mining era run between the neighbourhoods. They show the industrial logic behind the layout.

为什么选 Donskoy
一张有意义的地图
For people who grew up in the Tula coalfield towns, a map of Donskoy keeps a home district close. Its scattered clusters and connecting roads also appeal to anyone who likes towns with a less conventional shape.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a street, a family name or a year. The print comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Buy it as a $9 digital file or a printed poster.
