Wouri estuary
The broad estuary dominates the map, separating the main city from Bonabéri and opening toward the sea. It gives the poster a large, calm expanse of open space.

关于地图
Douala Map Poster & Print
Douala lies on the Wouri River estuary near the Gulf of Guinea, and on the map it is defined by water. The main city spreads along the river's eastern bank, while the district of Bonabéri sits on the western side, connected by bridges across the wide estuary. Around the edges, mangrove creeks and wetlands break up the street pattern into irregular shapes.
Douala is the largest city in Cameroon and its economic capital. Its port is one of the most important in Central Africa, handling trade not only for Cameroon but also for landlocked neighbours such as Chad and the Central African Republic. On clear days, Mount Cameroon can be seen rising to the northwest across the water.
A Douala map poster sets the city's port and river against the dense grid of its districts, from the administrative quarter of Bonanjo to the commercial streets of Akwa. The docks form long straight edges along the water, the bridges cross the estuary in single strokes and the mangroves soften the margins. It is a map about movement, trade and water.

Bridges to Bonabéri
Bridges carry road and rail across the Wouri to the western bank, clean horizontal lines connecting the two halves of the city across the water.
Port waterfront
The docks and quays of the port line the riverbank in long straight edges, a sharp contrast with the irregular creeks and mangrove channels nearby.

为什么选 Douala
一张有意义的地图
Douala is a map for those who were born here, for those who work in its port and trade and for members of the Cameroonian diaspora who carry the city with them. The river and the port make it an instantly recognisable composition.
Add a title and subtitle in French or English, such as a neighbourhood, a name or a date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint gives the port a technical, maritime feel.
