关于地图
Echizen Map Poster & Print
Echizen was created in 2005 when the city of Takefu merged with the town of Imadate. It sits in the centre of Fukui Prefecture, on the Sea of Japan side of Honshu. The main urban area, the former Takefu, lies on a flat plain near the Hino River, with the Hokuriku rail corridor running through it and hills rising on either side.
The city is known across Japan for its crafts. Echizen washi, a traditional handmade paper, has been produced for centuries in the Imadate area, and Takefu is famous for Echizen uchihamono, its hand-forged knives. On the map, the older centre forms a compact tangle of streets around temples and shrines, while newer development follows the main roads and the rail line.
An Echizen map poster reflects that balance of workshop town and valley landscape. The river and its tributaries, the straight line of the railway and the tighter weave of the historic streets give the composition a clear structure. The papermaking villages to the east add scattered detail toward the hills, especially in the larger print sizes.

Hino River
The river crosses the plain near the centre on its way north, drawing a gentle curving line that anchors the composition.
Washi villages
To the east, in the Imadate area, small settlements known for handmade paper sit in narrow valleys where roads follow streams into the hills.

为什么选 Echizen
一张有意义的地图
Echizen appeals to people who value craft: knife makers and cooks, paper artists and calligraphers, as well as those who grew up among its workshops. A map of the city pairs naturally with a well-used knife or a sheet of washi.
Adjust the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and select Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, with Paper the obvious match. Six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files cost $9, with no watermark.
