Ersheng is a small town in Chongqing municipality, in the hill country beyond the dense urban core. The wider region is known for long, narrow ridges with valleys between them. That grain of the land shapes most of the lines on the map, from main roads to farm tracks.
The town itself is a compact cluster where several roads meet, with short streets packed into the available flat ground. Outside it, roads wind along valley floors and climb in switchbacks where they have to cross higher ground. Houses and fields thin out gradually toward the wooded slopes.
Chongqing is one of the largest municipalities in China, yet much of its territory is rural and hilly, and places like Ersheng show that side of it. An Ersheng map poster frames the town at close range, so its own streets and the curving roads around it stay clear and readable.
