Citadel quarter
The oldest streets gather around the hilltop citadel near the centre. They form a small, knotted patch of lanes that contrasts with the straighter roads built later around it.

关于地图
Erzurum Map Poster & Print
Erzurum sits on a high plateau in eastern Anatolia, close to 1,900 metres above sea level, one of the highest large cities in Turkey. From above you see a dense, fairly compact city with the Palandöken mountains rising to the south. On the other sides it runs out into flat, open country, and that mix of tight streets and empty land gives the map a clear frame.
The old centre gathers around the citadel and a group of Seljuk and Ottoman buildings. The best known is the Double Minaret Madrasa with its two brick minarets. For centuries the city stood on caravan routes between Anatolia, Persia and the Caucasus, and its long winters are famous. Ski runs on Palandöken hosted events at the 2011 Winter Universiade.
An Erzurum map poster shows how the historic core's short, irregular streets give way to broader modern avenues and planned blocks. The ring and approach roads fan out across the plateau. The southern edge of the city stops where the terrain begins to climb, and that boundary is sharp even without any shading.

Palandöken edge
To the south the street network thins out and stops as the mountain slopes begin. It is a clear line on the map between the city and the ski terrain above it.
Plateau approaches
Long, straight highways and rail lines cross the flat plateau into the city, reflecting Erzurum's old role as a crossroads between Anatolia and the east.

为什么选 Erzurum
一张有意义的地图
An Erzurum map suits anyone who grew up with the city's winters, studied at its university, or once crossed eastern Turkey by road. The compact centre and mountain edge make for a quiet, balanced print.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a year or a street that matters to you. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
