River valley
Small rivers wind through the town and meet on the valley floor, and their channels and banks give the lower streets a pattern of curves and branches.

关于地图
Étampes Map Poster & Print
Étampes lies in the Essonne department, about fifty kilometres south of Paris. Several small rivers, including the Juine, the Chalouette and the Louette, meet here in a narrow valley cut into the Beauce plateau. On a map the town stretches along the valley floor in a long, thin shape, its streets following the water while the slopes rise on either side.
Above the town stands the Tour de Guinette, the ruined keep of a twelfth-century royal castle, notable for its unusual four-lobed plan. Below it, the old centre is packed with churches, including the fortified collegiate church of Notre-Dame-du-Fort. Its narrow lanes and courtyards belong to a town that was once an important royal stop on the road south.
Beyond the valley, the land opens out onto the flat, cultivated Beauce, which the map draws as large field parcels. An Étampes map poster shows this contrast between the tight, river-shaped town and the broad plateau around it. The railway to Paris runs down the valley like a spine.

Tour de Guinette
The twelfth-century keep stands on the slope above the station. Its four-lobed ruin is a landmark visible from much of the town and clearly marked on detailed maps.
Beauce plateau
Wide, flat fields surround the valley on the higher ground, forming large geometric parcels that frame the long, narrow town and fill the outer edges of the print.

为什么选 Étampes
一张有意义的地图
Étampes is a rewarding map for anyone who knows the RER line south or has family in Essonne. Its long shape suits portrait formats especially well, and the valley setting gives the print an unusual sense of depth.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with names, a date or a few words in French. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files or order a matte print, framed if you like.
