关于地图
Filiaşi Map Poster & Print
Filiaşi is a town in Dolj County, in the Oltenia region of southern Romania, north of Craiova. It lies close to the Jiu River, and from above the town sits on flat, open ground where the river's wide floodplain and a network of roads and railways meet. The street pattern is simple and fairly regular, with houses on long plots.
The town is known as a railway junction, where lines toward Craiova, Târgu Jiu and the west come together. On the map, the tracks and their sidings form some of the clearest lines, curving in and out of town. The Jiu's channel and its wooded banks add a softer, irregular edge.
A Filiaşi map poster shows how a small town can be organised around transport: rail lines, roads and the river all shape its outline. The flat terrain keeps the composition clean, and the long gardens behind the houses create a gentle striped texture typical of towns in the Romanian plain.

Jiu River plain
The river and its floodplain lie close to town, with meandering channels and tree-lined banks providing a natural counterpoint to the tracks.
Long house plots
Houses along the streets sit on deep, narrow plots, creating a fine striped pattern that is typical of towns across the Oltenian plain.
