Tama River
The river forms the southern boundary of the city. Its wide bed and embankments draw a broad, soft line across the bottom of the map.

关于地图
Fuchū Map Poster & Print
Fuchū lies in western Tokyo on the terraces north of the Tama River, which forms its southern edge. The name means provincial capital: this was the seat of government of Musashi Province more than a thousand years ago, long before Edo became the centre of eastern Japan. Today the streets are dense and fine-grained, typical of the Tokyo suburbs, with rail lines running east to west.
At the heart of the city is Ōkunitama Shrine, approached by an avenue of zelkova trees protected as a natural monument. On the map the shrine grounds form a quiet rectangle in the centre. The old Kōshū Kaidō highway passes in front of it, and the Keiō line station is close by.
Further south, Tokyo Racecourse fills a large oval near the river, one of the most recognisable shapes in the frame. A Fuchū map poster brings together the shrine, the racecourse and the river terraces. It is a compact picture of a place with deep roots that is now part of the everyday streets of greater Tokyo.

为什么选 Fuchū
一张有意义的地图
Fuchū suits people who have lived in western Tokyo, worked in its offices or spent afternoons at the races. Its mix of an ancient centre and suburban streets gives the print a quiet depth without needing labels.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line to include a name, a date or the neighbourhood you lived in. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster, with or without a frame.
