Main road spine
A primary road runs through the length of town. Most streets connect to it, and it anchors the composition as a strong line across the map.

关于地图
Gabiadji Map Poster & Print
Gabiadji is a town in the Bas-Sassandra District of Ivory Coast, inland from the port city of San-Pédro. The map shows a settlement laid out along a main road. The streets branch off either side into a loose grid of blocks, and the town is longer than it is wide. Past the last houses, tracks lead off into the plantations and forest that cover much of the district.
Bas-Sassandra is one of the country's main cocoa-growing regions, and many of its towns grew up along the roads that carry the harvest to the coast. Gabiadji's shape follows that pattern, a settlement organised around movement to and from San-Pédro.
A Gabiadji map poster shows the town with a clear spine and short cross-streets, surrounded by open space for the farmland beyond. The drawing is simple and balanced, a way to keep a specific place from this part of West Africa on the wall.

Cross-street blocks
Short streets on both sides of the main road divide the town into rough rectangular blocks, which adds an orderly texture next to the long through-route.
Plantation tracks
At the edges, thin tracks lead away from town into the farmland of the district. They fade into white space, which represents the surrounding plantations and forest.
