Large housing blocks
Long apartment buildings are set at regular angles across wide plots. From above they form a strong, repeating geometric pattern, very different from a traditional street grid.

关于地图
Gaj Map Poster & Print
Gaj is a district in the south of Wrocław, in Lower Silesia. On a map, it is made mostly of large residential blocks. Long apartment buildings are set in open landscaped grounds, and a small number of wide streets serve them. The layout follows the typical Polish housing estate: big superblocks with paths, courtyards and playgrounds, rather than the dense street grid of the old town.
Gaj sits between other southern districts of the city and is linked to the centre by main roads and tram lines. Around the estate, the street pattern changes. There are older streets of houses, stretches of allotments and green space, and the wider roads of the ring leading into the city.
A Gaj map poster frames a very specific urban form. It shows the geometric rhythm of long building blocks with the calm open space between them, a pattern that looks graphic and deliberate from above. It suits people who grew up in this part of Wrocław, or who lived here as students or young families.

Green between blocks
Wide landscaped spaces, paths and courtyards separate the buildings. They add breathing room to the map and soften the scale of the estate.
Links to the centre
Main roads and tram routes connect the district to central Wrocław. On a wider frame, you can see Gaj as part of the city's broader southern ring.

为什么选 Gaj
一张有意义的地图
Estates like Gaj are where many people spent their childhood, raised their families or found their first flat. A map of the blocks and paths turns that familiar setting into a clean graphic image.
Change the title to Gaj, to Wrocław, or to a street name, and add a year in the subtitle. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as a $9 digital file or a printed poster.
