Central plaza grid
The streets form an even checkerboard around the main square, following the Spanish colonial and later Argentine tradition of planning a town outward from its plaza.

关于地图
General Villegas Map Poster & Print
General Villegas lies in the far northwest of Buenos Aires province, close to the borders with La Pampa and Córdoba. From above it is a classic town of the Argentine plains: a square grid of blocks around a central plaza, set in a landscape of large farm plots, straight rural roads and the occasional shallow lagoon.
The town is named after General Conrado Villegas, a nineteenth-century military commander in the region. Like many towns in the western pampas, it grew with the railway and with cattle and grain farming. Farming still shapes both the countryside and the economy, and the town remains a service centre for the surrounding district.
A General Villegas map poster shows how simple the pampas town plan is. Each block is the same size, the avenues are slightly wider, and a few diagonal roads and rail lines break the pattern. At the edges the grid stops, and wide open land begins. It is a restrained design that suits a black-and-white print.

Railway edge
Railway lines reach the town from across the plain and cut across the grid at an angle. They are one of the few features that break its strict regularity.
Pampas lagoons
Shallow lagoons dot the flat country around the town. They show as irregular soft shapes against the straight lines of fields and rural roads.

为什么选 General Villegas
一张有意义的地图
For people from the western pampas, the grid of a home town and the wide land around it feel very familiar. A General Villegas poster keeps that picture on the wall. It works well as a gift for someone who moved to Buenos Aires or further away.
You can add a personal title, a subtitle or date, and the coordinates line, in one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files come without a watermark, and a free 900 px preview lets you check the layout before you buy.
